Known by many names, such as online therapy, teletherapy, telehealth, and
distance-based therapy, technology assisted therapy puzzles boards, excites practitioners, and challenges the norms of what we think therapy should look like. With unique ethical considerations, including developing laws, regulations, and best practices within state Mental Health Boards and National Associations it is more important than ever if you are practicing online or want to, that you know how to do it ethically, legally, and within your own scope of practice. This full-day workshop will teach you the ins and outs on how to start and run and online practice or add online work as a service to your practice and cover everything you need to know about logistics, ethics, rules and regulations, marketing and actually how to bring services to those who are seeking online work. It will also discuss online therapy not just as a way to deliver services, but a model of therapy in and of itself. This workshop will also meet the training, education, and continuing education requirements that many states are now implementing in order to work in telehealth and distance based therapy.
