M/LADC Board approval pending (note – this workshop by the same presenter, with the same content, has been previously accepted by this board, but NHC CBT can not guarantee acceptance unless it is pre-approved each time the workshop is offered)

NHC CBT has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6924. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. NHC CBT is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.

About This Workshop
12 core functions will discuss, in detail, each of the 12 core functions for substance use disorder counselors, and the application of them in ethical practice. It aims to fulfill a portion of the licensing requirements for substance use disorder counselors.

About the Presenter
Dr. George Bortnick, Ph.D., MLADC is a Master Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, licensed in NH and holds a Ph.D. in Psychology. Dr. Bortnick has taught clinically for over 14 years. He current works at Keystone Hall and NHC CBT in NH, where he serves as a clinical supervisor.

1. Review in detail, each of the 12 core functions for LADC/MLADC and other substance use disorder providers
2. Further practitioner understanding of what each function encompasses
3. Outline ethical responsibilities related to each core function
